Bresolin: the soul of the Asolo Hills, between biodiversity and family ties

In the most evocative, unspoiled, and artistically rich heart of Veneto, right on the steep slopes that shape the Asolo Hills, stands the Bresolin winery. We find ourselves in a landscape of extraordinary beauty, precisely in Crespignaga di Maser, in a land where rows of vines have historically alternated with centuries-old olive groves and cherry trees, a short distance from the ancient medieval village of Asolo and the famous sixteenth-century architecture of the Palladian villas. Here, where art meets generous nature, the adventure of Bresolin Bio began in 2012, guided by the energy, courage, and vision of three young winemaking brothers: Enrico, Matteo, and Davide. Although the winery is a modern and constantly evolving reality, the profound passion that drives it is rooted in the historical memory and hills of Valdobbiadene. It was there that the brothers, from childhood, ran among the rows, learning the secrets of the land and helping their grandparents during the magical ritual of the harvest. That childhood spent amidst the aromas of must instilled in them a visceral love for agriculture, but it is on the Asolo Hills – the territory where they were born, grew up, and that reflects them one hundred percent – that they decided to settle and create their future. Each brother brings a unique and complementary value to the company: Davide, for example, after specialized studies at the prestigious Enological School and valuable experience in the restaurant world, returned to the land to carefully nurture the liquid soul of their products, combining technical knowledge with sensitivity for taste.

A lifestyle choice: organic farming and a biodiversity oasis

Today, the company spans approximately 25 hectares, cultivated with an ethical, transparent, and uncompromising production philosophy, which translates into an artisanal production of about 130,000 bottles per year. From day one, the choice to adopt certified organic and vegan agriculture was a natural and inevitable step for the Bresolin brothers, inspired by the fundamental principle that "healthy eating is the basis of healthy living." For them, organic is not a market trend or a commercial strategy, but a daily pact of honor for the protection of the ecosystem and the safeguarding of the peculiarities of the different terroirs. The vineyards are not industrial and aseptic geometries, but happy islands nestled in a naturalistic oasis rich in spontaneous biodiversity. The plants grow close to uncontaminated woods, orchards, and historic olive groves from which the family produces a prized extra virgin olive oil. In this clean and protected environment, strongly influenced by altitude, sun exposure, and proximity to Monte Grappa and Montello, wildlife thrives: it is not uncommon, in fact, to spot roe deer, wild boars, and hares moving freely among the rows. In this setting, viticulture is practiced that in many respects becomes heroic due to the severe slopes of the hills, where every intervention, from winter pruning to the manual harvesting of grapes, requires strong arms, expert hands, and a deep respect for the hard work of the land.

The pride of being Winemakers: Asolo DOCG and the recovery of Recantina

Being Independent Winemakers associated with FIVI means for Enrico, Matteo, and Davide maintaining total control over every single bottle, ensuring a very short supply chain that goes directly from the field to the winery, without intermediaries. The core of their production enhances the Glera cultivated on the high-hill "crus" to create Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG. This historical denomination holds a very important record: it was the very first, within the vast Prosecco landscape, to introduce and include the Extra Brut type in its regulations, enhancing the marked acidity, verticality, and mineral savoriness typical of these marly and clayey soils. Alongside the elegant sparkling wines and the traditional "Col Fondo Agricolo" (yeast-on-the-lees) frizzante wine — which evokes the flavors of the past —, the Bresolin brothers carry out crucial research and enhancement work on the historical red wines of the territory, such as Montello Rosso DOCG and, above all, the rare Recantina. The latter is an indigenous Treviso grape variety, cultivated locally since ancient times and diligently saved from extinction thanks to a long work of agronomic recovery.

The faces behind the labels: a tribute to family

Crowning this ambitious life project is a deep emotional detail that can be read directly on the bottles: each label bears the name or nickname of a family member who was essential to the birth and growth of the winery. Names like "Sior Lino," dedicated to the grandfather and a symbol of genuine, generous, and welcoming conviviality, or "Rissieri" and "Benny," are not mere commercial brands to distinguish products, but true affectionate tributes. They are the way the three brothers choose to thank daily those who paved the way before them and who continue to support them. Choosing a Bresolin wine means much more than uncorking a bottle: it means rediscovering the noblest, cleanest face of the Treviso hills' tradition, bringing to the glass a story made of craftsmanship, family love, and absolute respect for nature.
