Vermentino di Gallura vs Vermentino di Sardegna: what's the difference?

Vermentino di Gallura DOCG is produced exclusively in northern Sardinia, on granite soils that give the wine superior minerality and structure. Vermentino di Sardegna DOP, on the other hand, covers the entire island and is generally fresher and more drinkable. Both types, in the organic versions from our producers, express the best of the grape without corrective interventions.
