The Manzoni Bianco Eva Sudtirol Alto Adige DOC BIO 2024 originates from Brunnenhof, Kurt Rottensteiner's organic farm in Mazon. Manzoni Bianco is a very rare grape variety — a cross between Riesling and Pinot Bianco created in the 1930s by Luigi Manzoni in Conegliano, almost extinct and now cultivated by very few producers in Italy. Brunnenhof is one of them. Harvested in mid-September, brief skin contact, gentle pressing, fermentation in steel tanks, and maturation on fine lees until Easter. No wood, no malolactic fermentation: just fruit, freshness, and volcanic minerality.
The nose offers white flowers, peach, citrus, and a clean mineral note typical of Mazon's porphyry soils. On the palate, it is fresh, savory, and precise, with a lightness that makes it perfect from the first course to dessert. The finish is persistent and clean, with a subtle complexity that emerges sip after sip.
Recommended for: Those who want to discover a rare and almost unknown grape variety, vinified by one of the most reputable organic farms in Alto Adige. The Manzoni Bianco Eva is a conversation-starter bottle — something your guests have never tasted. Perfect with steamed or grilled fish, seafood risottos, pasta with vegetables, and fresh cheeses. Serve at 10-12°C.
