Collection: Wines for meat

Our selection to quickly add to your cart

A good roast deserves a great wine. Whether it's a Florentine steak, a braised beef in Barolo, Sardinian lamb, or sliced beef, red meat calls for a red with character — structured, tannic, with a persistence that holds up to the dish until the last bite. Our selection of organic Italian wines for meat covers every occasion, from soft and fruity reds for more delicate meats, to big structured reds for more important cuts.

All wines come from small certified organic producers, selected by ALBio Corini for quality, territoriality, and respect for the land.

Soft reds for white meats and light cuts

For roasted chicken, veal, grilled pork, or meatballs in sauce, choose a fruity and not too tannic red that won't overpower more delicate flavors. Dolcetto, Barbera, Valpolicella Classico, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo are the most versatile and immediate choices.

Structured reds for steak, lamb, and roasts

For Florentine steak, ribeye, baked lamb, wild boar, or game, choose a red with more structure and tannins. Chianti Classico, Morellino di Scansano, Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva, Nero d'Avola, Nebbiolo d'Alba, South Tyrolean Lagrein and Valpolicella Ripasso are ideal companions — deep, persistent, capable of standing up to the most intense flavors.

Great reds for special occasions

For the most important dinners — a Barolo braised beef, a Chianina tagliata, noble game — choose one of the great Italian reds from our selection. The Pinot Nero Riserva Mazon, Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, Barolo Bricco Boschis and Barolo Riserva Vigna San Giuseppe are bottles that transform a dinner into an experience.
