Vermentino IGT Toscana Organic - Argenteo

The Vermentino IGT Toscana BIO 2024 Argenteo by Podere Casina is born in the Maremma region of Tuscany, at 150 meters above sea level, on clay soils exposed to the southwest. The winemaking is precise and unconventional: manual harvesting in the second week of September, cooling the grapes to 6°C, separate double fermentation — one with selected yeasts and one spontaneous at 18°C — to build complexity without losing freshness. Aging in steel with bâtonnage until March, then one month in the bottle. The result is a rich and enveloping white with an agile and pleasant drinkability.

In the glass, it presents with a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, intense hints of aromatic herbs and salt-cured capers recall the Mediterranean — an unusual and recognizable profile, far from floral and easy whites. On the palate, it is rich and enveloping, with a freshness that surprises for a white of this structure.
