Red IGT Colli del Limbara BIO - Pitrinu

The Rosso IGT Colli del Limbara BIO 2020 Pitrinu from Cantina Manconi is produced on four organic hectares on granite soils at the foot of Mount Limbara, in Alta Gallura, in the heart of Sardinia. The grape variety is Caricagiola, a rare Sardinian native grape that is almost unknown outside the island. Hand-harvested, gently pressed, and macerated for about 15 days, it is then aged in steel and 500-liter barrels with bâtonnage. A red wine unlike any other Sardinian wine: fresh, floral, with a granite minerality that is clearly noticeable in the glass.

In the glass, it presents a ruby red color. On the nose, violet and forest fruits offer clean and unmistakable aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with clearly evident fruity notes and a pleasant acidity that makes it versatile at the table. It is not a powerful wine—it is a precise wine, and that is its strength.
