Review your cart →The Gewürztraminer Dreiegg Sudtirol Alto Adige DOC BIO 2024 comes from Brunnenhof, Kurt Rottensteiner's organic farm in Mazon. Dreiegg — "three corners" in German — refers to the specific plot: a triangular vineyard on volcanic porphyritic soils where Gewürztraminer expresses its most complex and terroir-driven character. The winemaking is a precise hybrid approach: the destemmed grapes rest on the skins for 20 hours, followed by gentle pressing. One-third of the must undergoes malolactic fermentation in 500-liter oak barrels; the rest ferments in temperature-controlled steel tanks and remains on the fine lees for six months. Structure and freshness together.
The nose offers pink fruit, lychees, oriental spices, and a smoky note typical of the grape variety in Alto Adige. On the palate, it is enveloping and aromatic, with a freshness that balances the varietal richness without ever becoming cloying. The finish is long and persistent, with a complexity that develops in the glass.
Recommended for: Those who love aromatic whites with character and want to discover Gewürztraminer in its most gastronomic and complex form. Dreiegg is the ideal choice with spicy Asian cuisine, blue cheeses, foie gras, or fish in an aromatic sauce — and for those seeking an unconventional contemplative white. Serve at 8–10°C.
