Merlot Riserva DOC BIO Friuli
2021
The Merlot Riserva DOC BIO Friuli It is a red wine with an intense and enveloping character, made from Merlot grapes grown biodynamically in the Cormons and Mariano vineyards. The late harvest, done by hand in the early hours of the morning, ensures perfect ripeness of the grapes and gives the wine an extraordinary aromatic richness. After a long fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging for 24 months in large barrels, followed by further bottle ageing, the Merlot Riserva DOC BIO Friuli expresses all its elegance and complexity.
It displays an intense and brilliant ruby red. On the nose, it releases aromas reminiscent of berries, accompanied by pleasant spicy notes. On the palate, it is soft yet decisive, harmonious and persistent, with a finish that invites another sip. This Merlot Reserve It pairs perfectly with cured meats, roasts, white and red meats, but also with more flavorful dishes like lamb, stews, and aged or slightly spicy cheeses. A wine with great structure and personality, ideal for those seeking a bold red that captures the authentic soul of Friuli.
